Dark Matter Book Review

Dark Matter, by Blake Crouch, is a science fiction novel that follows the emotional and terrifying journey of Jason Dessen to get his family back. Jason is a science teacher at Lakemont College, with a son and wife named Charlie and Daniela. One night when returning home from a party, the life Jason knows and loves is taken from him. He awakens at Velocity Laboratories with a group of scientists greeting him and asking him how his journey was. Jason is very confused and escapes from the lab to find his wife but comes to a startling discovery, that he has been brought to a new world. Using help from another Velocity Labs employee to escape, Jason travels from dimension to dimension facing danger, heartbreak, and revenge in hopes to find his beloved family. As he gets closer and closer, he learns that he is not the only Jason coming for his loved ones. Voice Recorder >> My name is Nick Blum and I believe that playing sports creates a bond with your teammates that is forever unbreakable. Since the age of 4, I have been playing sports. Whether it was on an organized team or just with friends outside having fun, you could always find me with some type of ball, bat, or stick. My mom was the person who turned me onto sports and it was at a very young age. When I was born I was surrounded by the world of sports. My family constantly would watch sports or buy me banners and clothes with their favorite teams on it. Every day as a baby, my mom would come home from work and toss me a foam Detroit Lions ball to teach me how to catch, and it is here where my love for sports began. I started playing baseball at the age of 4 and have been playing ever since. I also had a 4 year stint on the SJA football team, until I was forced to stop playing from multiple concussions.
